Maybe I should be a writer for foxsports.com Why not, they have people like Lisa Horne over there, so I figure I'm just as qualified. Yesterday was a good day for us....and for the SEC in general. Now Florida is ranked #1, and Alabama is #2. Here's to not messing things up....
Our conference is doing really well this year....as it does every year. Rankings are fun for bragging rights, but really, they don't show the real picture. There are now only 4 teams from the SEC in the top 25. Questionable. First off, everyone dogged Mississippi for being ranked #4 earlier in the season. They lost to South Carolina, which is actually a really good, ranked team right now. (and an SEC team). Then we have LSU. They were also ranked #4 as of last night....now they've dropped down, once again, by an SEC team. (Florida by the way). Then we have Georgia. Now, Georgia hasn't been the best this year, I'll admit that, but it's wrong to say that they are terrible because they lost to Tennessee. This is the same Tennessee that Florida struggled against. They are a solid team.
This brings me to the same point that is made every year. This is why all SEC fans claim to have the toughest conference. No, all the teams don't deserve to be in the top 10, but they are all capable of beating the best teams on any given day. There isn't a week that goes by that I think Alabama is absolutely going to win. They have the talent to win, but you just never know. Auburn just lost to Arkansas, and Auburn has been great this whole season. You never know.
Last note: lots of sports writers are quick to call teams overrated simply because they lose one game. (Some are). However, you must look at their entire season so far before you can claim that. Mississippi is a good team, they just got beat by better teams. The same can go for many other teams this year.

Hahahah! SEC is so awesome, not. Did you really just say Tenn is a solid team? I won't even start. And no I don't think the MWC is awesome. Miss terrible. SCar. will fall apart like every year. Miss state was inches away from beating LSU and they would lose to wyoming. And I bet everyone but maybe Florida will lose at least 1 game. I am still throwing up. The Tebow love is sickening. He is good though.
Saying that everyone will lose at least 1 game only proves the point of my blog. How do you know that Miss. is terrible if they only lost to Alabama and Scar....who by the way would destroy BYU. Just kidding, BYU is awesome and can beat anyone as long as they come to Provo. By the way, how is FSU doing?
Hey, leave us out of this! Our conference is a joke (Hello, we just scored 59 points in our last game and nobody cared), my ears are huge, and our coach lost the human ability to show emotion several years ago. Cut us some slack....

I have watched Miss play and they are not good. Fetch I would love Miss or SC to come to provo. I did not prove the point of your blog. The SEC is super hyped. Yes a good conference but not as special as you think. Good job bringing BYU into this. The MWC is so awesome because the top couple of teams will only have one loss. The MWC is the best conference in America because our teams are just so good.

How embarrassing. If FSU was coming to play in Provo next week, you would be laughing your head off....easy win right? But FSU ( who is TERRIBLE by the way, humiliated BYU. How can you even attempt to brag about who BYU could beat in Provo this year? It's laughable. I'm laughing right now. You just better hope South Florida doesn't come to provo.....ha ha ha.

Yes BYU blew it. The first home game they fetch fetching blew in years. It was bound to happen sometime. They sucked that game, FSU played better than ever. People think Miami is so amazing and FSU was a drop away from that one. Not trying to say FSU is good, just saying. I don't think Byu deserves anything special I never was getting to that. Take your opinion and fetch a stick. Fetcher. I don't know where fetch came from. I don't really ever say it. I want a fetchin playoff so college rankings and conference coolness don't count so much.
It was bound to happen...we just all thought it would be against a team that had some talent.
