I just have to make a few small comments about girls and football. Actually, let's just say it like it is: girls just don't understand most anything about it at all. I have to say it kind of annoys me. They understand cheering and yelling, clapping and screaming, but the game...not so much. Here are a few observations. They may not all apply, but more than a few will, "gerontdeed." <---hahahaha (inside joke)
Girls don't understand:
-Why teams don't go for 2 points after every touchdown.
-Why players go in motion before the snap
-Why quarterbacks don't just throw the ball everytime to get down the field.
--or, why teams run at all. ("b/c it's just soooo slow")<---actual quote.
-Why teams don't just go for it on every 4th down.
-Why you don't blitz everytime.
-What "strength of schedule" means at all.
-What exactly the BCS is, or means.
Ha ha ha. Anyways, I'm funny, get over it.

Ha ha laugh it up Josh. I can't believe Max Hall is commenting on your blog. Next thing you know, Tim Tebow might find it. Also might want to check out an article on fox sports.com that discusses the cream puff non conference schedules that the SEC has. Before conference play they don't travel past mississippi, and play jv high school teams to get those wins. Oh yeah and some are barely getting those wins. They only play each other and think they are amazing because of it. I dare one of them come to Provo, they would end up crying after Harvey Unga smashes the @#@!%# out of them, and Hall throws for 400 yards. I am backing the Cougars this year because they are really good. Georgia will lose to Arizona State this weekend because they are finally leaving the south for non-conf. and when they do, it will be like they lost to UNLV also. Well I guess they all lose to some high school teams huh. By the way kinda true about the girl thing. Good luck losing to Arkanasas this week Bama. I could write about this for years but will try to stop, this will never end until you admit for once that at least BYU has an amazing offense.
First of all, i just wanna say to whoever "the blairs" are, thanks for the support. We don't have many fans so it's nice to hear from the few we do have. Anyways, We're definitely gonna dominate some lower tier Pac 10 team in the Las Vegas bowl this year. That's what we're all about, running up the score against nobodies. Okay...I can say that I was stupid when it came to football. Then I married Jeff and he makes me sit in a dark room with my eyes taped open, strapped to a chair, and drills me on all football all the time. So now I'm a pro...okay maybe I'm not a pro when it comes to understanding football, but Jeff really does make me sit in a dark room with my eyes taped open while he drills me on all things football.
So wait, if/when Tennessee beats Florida, Georgia loses to Arizona State so on and so on then what do you say. Wow its amazing how SEC fans have such a blank memory as to the 3 crap division schools they all schedule for those 3 automatic wins. Who did Bama lose to last year at home again? Wasn't it qb Wilson's high school team? The debate will never end. Oh and what if TCU beats Oklahoma in a few weeks and then BYU beats TCU. TCU did it a few years ago. What if, what if, I know. You just cant downplay every win that BYU gets. Do you really not think Max Hall is not a good qb? I guarantee Bama would be a much better team with a qb like him. Oh and top 30 for defense? That is because they have all played 3 N Iowa's. Hmmm I wonder why they have such great D already. And when they play each other they have no offense. There are two teams I think are actually worth something in the SEC. Florida and LSU. Others are way overrated. Watch Auburn play and you will see. Georgia is a top 15 team but will choke up sometime this year.
So by your theory, Appalachian state could claim to be the National Champs of last year, right? That way of comparing teams doesn't work. Furthermore, You really have no reason to talk badly of Alabama...I have not campared them to BYU at all. My argument is not "alabama is better than BYU"-whether I think that or not. Alabama is 3-0 just like BYU right now, playing teams just like, but probably better than N. I, washington, and UCLA. You seriously want to debate that? If you say that BYU's offense is good, fine, they're good. But you make that statement sound nuts when you then say, "and the SEC is dumb and blah blah". Defend BYU, not attack the SEC b/c that only makes you sound ignorant.
Hey, all you Alabama fans. Just wanted ya'll to remember how good my former high school team was that beat us last year. They are really good still, mostly because they had a show on MTV that made them awesome. Anyway we should win a few more games this year because I have been training with them all offseason. Coach Saban thinks I have really been doing better at throwing. I may even throw for 100 yards in a game. Also me and Spencer from the MTV show the "Hills" are going out now. Just thought I should throw that out there. I feel so much better now. Maybe I won't choke now that I came out of the closet.

I am very logical. Basically I just like to bs about this subject. But if BYU can keep it up (there is a long season ahead) I really think they have a great team this year. I think they could put up a lot of points against any team. They have a great O-line, great running back, tons of depth at WR, and best TE in the nation. The defense worries me due to lack of speed and athleticism, but Bronco has them ready, and they cover their assignments very well. That is why I believe they can compete with anyone in the country this year. If I felt they were not capable I would admit. I know they are not in a conference as good as the SEC, but the MWC is making some progress. They should have 3 ranked teams come next week. That is pretty good for the MWC. Dispose of San diego state, colorado state, and replace with Boise state, and Fresno State, and the conference is much better as a whole.
Good news, this makes 14 comments. That is quite a few. Where is BJ in all this talk. BJ please start to comment. I know you love BYU with all your heart.
Okay, I'll sum this up for now. I will admit that BYU is a good team this year, as they were last year...I have not been saying that they are bad. They do have a good offense, and are clearly the best in the MWC. It is a shame that they can't prove themselves nationally. Surely you could concede that the SEC is the overall strongest conference in the nation.

We love BJ. THat's all I (CJ, a girl) as to say. ANd, girls and football...I don't think they should have girls on the sidelines doing coverage (they are helpful for injury updates I suppose) and I think girls (especially at BYU) are horrible fans. Show a little spirit women...come in your school colors once in a while and leave Abercrombie at home. And, I understand all those things you listed. I am a true conisuerre of football.
